Behind the Classroom Doors...

Behind the Classroom Doors

Parent Tot has 1 more week until they try separation.

There will be 2 more aides in the room for the transition.

Miss Wendy will be there for the first day and she will surely put a smile on their faces!!

Our Ready Two Growers are GROWING in independence!

Their Cookie party is the last 30 minutes of class on Tuesday the 13th.

They enjoyed making a special surprise for their family!!

The 3AM class learned about Hannukah from Benjamin’s Dad, Darryl.

He did a great job and the kids followed up by making Menorahs and cutting their own candles.

Their Cookie Party starts at 10:30 on Wednesday the 14th

The 3PM class learned about Hanukkah and made Menorahs.

Stella’s Dad came to read a book in honor of Stella’s birthday.

Stella announced at the rug,

”My Daddy is really funny!”

and I think all the kids will agree!

Happy’s Mom made the traditions of St. Lucia Day come alive.
We made hats and crowns and went parading through the hall singing Jingle Bells.  We topped it off with tasty St. Lucia buns!

The class Cookie Party will be Wednesday at 2:00.

The 4’s LOVE Centers Day and Special Days!

They worked hard on surprises for their families.

Their Cookie Party is Thursday the 15th for the last hour of class.

File this one under Kids Say The Most Precious Things…

The KE class made their own ice cream.
They had lots of great toppings to add to the ice cream.
As they sat around the table enjoying their delicious creations, Amy C. seemed to say is best….
She took the spoon out of her mouth and with a big smile said…

”I hope I never forget this!”

We hope so too, Amy!

As a little background…

The teachers always take a first aid bag whenever the class travels to the bike room or the playground.

In the 3am class, Luanne Hampton is typically the keeper of the bag.
One day Luanne was absent, so Laurie James took the red first aid bag to the bike room and put it on a chair.

Seeing the bag on the chair, Alexander R. said…

”Look, Mrs. Hampton forgot her purse here!”

This gem was overheard on Sibling Day…

The teacher was telling the kids how make a turkey by combining a cookie, frosting, and candy.

“See kids, today your project is a turkey… and it’s edible!”

Christopher’s sister, Kelly J. then said…

”But aren’t all turkey’s edible?!”

It was Owen K’s Special Day in the 4PM class.

Among the info he shared were his favorite bands, which are, Foster The People, Metallica, and The Black Eyed Peas.

Ethan T. said that he doesn’t like black eyes peas, but he does like black beans!!

Caitlin L. in the 4am class has impeccable manners.

Today Mrs. Baird said,
“Caitlin, the way you glued the outline of Rudolph to the paper and then drew the body was very clever!”

Caitlin replied,

“Thank you, Mrs. Baird!”

Then Caitlin followed with,

“Mrs. Baird, what does clever mean?”
