The highlight of this week was the magic of Tomten, Mrs. Lezama’s dear little friend who is the caretaker of animals. Inspired by the book, The Tomten, the children each created their own little creature. Your child may have asked for your help in finding a soft little box for their Tomten to live in. This magical tale delights children year after year after year.
The Centers this week focused more on patterns and each station was an opportunity for the children to create different kinds of patterns. They really enjoyed it!
Miss Kari, the Spanish teacher, took a different approach this week. Instead of a circletime, she brought the kids into the bike room to play Mr. Fox –Qué Hora Es? (Mr. Fox What Time is it?) It’s a fun camp game that gave the kiddos a chance to run around!
Coming this week – Cooking with Miss Laurie!
On Thursday, February 14, we will exchange Valentines. There are 20 children in the class. Valentines should be UNADDRESSED, but signed from your child. We will have a LOVEly time!
We hope you will say YES to the benefit on February 23! In addition to raising much needed funds for the school (tuition alone does not cover our operating expenses) it is always a great community building event and loads of FUN! Plus, there are great auction items you can bid on. The teachers donate their time and host parties and events that you can sign up for or bid on. For example............
