Hi Everyone!
We are finishing learning a topic of HUGE interest... dinosaurs!!!!
Along with the study of dinosaurs we learned about volcanoes!!
Yesterday was a SUPER fun day!! Each child had their own mini mountain (a paper bowl turned upside down with a hole cut out of the top and a little cup filled with baking soda in the hole) They had their own cup of vinegar (dyed red) and when we counted uno, dos, tres we ALL poured our own vinegar and EACH child had their very own volcano erupt!
Then, each scientist turned into a paleontologist and ran to the sandbox to dig for dinosaur bones (I hid ZILLIONS of mini dino skeletons.. we will be discovering them for months!!) Wow... talk about FUN!
Today we will conclude our study with a discussion of our favorite dinosaurs and then we will graph the results of the question "What is Your Favorite Dinosaur"
A HUGE thank you to Neil for showing us the dino feet he made at home! Everyone loved them!!
Please send in empty Kleenex boxes and when we have enough ( we need 20!! I hope we make it!!)
we'll make them at school and wear them while we sing our favorite dino song,
"We are the Dinosaurs!"
Also...I hope you can make it to the Community Easter Egg Hunt this Sunday! There will be games, crafts and MORE from 1:00 to 2:00. The hunt for over 1,000 eggs starts at 2:00!!!
We are looking forward to sharing spring with your beautiful children. This class is especially kind to each other, imaginative, and a joy to be with.
Thank you for sharing your kids with us!
They are each so precious!
Love, Luanne, Betsy and Sue
